Top global CEOs have a date with Bangalore
The Times of India

Bangalore: It’s CEOs galore in Bangalore. Just before the US and Europe get onto the Christmas and New Year holiday mode, there seems to be a high level of corporate rush to India in general and Bangalore in particular.

Although, Bangalore Inc., has been attracting every India-visiting corporate top brass, it has not witnessed them coming in such a frequency before. The city hosted over half-adozen global CEOs in little over a month. Lenovo chairman Yuanqing Yang came six weeks ago. Following him was the tech preacher, Cisco’s John Chambers. Then came ARM chairman Sir Robin Saxby. A week ago, the city hosted Dassault Systems, president & CEO, Bernard Charles. Broadcom Corpor at i o n , president & CEO, Scott Mc-Gregor was here in the city on Thursday. India is one of the first few countries Scott McGregor visited after he became the head of $2.5 billion semiconductor major, Broadcom recently. And on December 9, it will be Microsoft’s Bill Gates’ date with Bangalore.

Others who came visiting, but could not make it the tech capital are Dan Meiland, chairman, Egon Zehnder International, a global HR consulting firm, Dr Klaus Klienfeld, president & CEO of Siemens AG and Hector Ruiz, president and CEO of AMD. Intel chief, Craig Barrett is visiting Delhi on Dec. 5.
