BANGALORE: Good news for visitors, particularly the morning joggers of Lalbagh Botanical garden. Soon you will be able to view weather and pollution report through electronic weather display boards inside the garden.

The garden officials plan to have automatic reporting gadgets to report the temperature inside the garden. The other gadgets will monitor temperature and humidity.

Boards will be installed at important spots of Lalbagh for the visitors to tap the report. According to the Chairman of Mysore Horticulture Society, Vasant Kumar the idea is to inform people about weather inside the garden.

The visitors will be able to compare the temperature, rainfall level, humidity and carbon-di-oxide inside the garden compared to the city. The officials feel that nothing can be better if the oxygen level shows higher in Lalbagh, compared to the outside world.

The visitors will come to know of the greenery in the pristine surrounding of Lalbagh. The electronic weather display board will be calibrated hourly.

The Karnataka Pollution Control Board is supporting the installation of the gadgets. The Lalbagh officials expect people’s appreciation for the new arrangement.

“It will create an awareness on the weather and also on pollution level. Thus they will get a detailed account of the temperature ambience,” they claim.

In the annual horticulture display to be held on the Republic day the Department is planning to set up a stall for the visitors, in association with the Mysore Horticulture Society.

The stall will have caps, t-shirts, organic bags, gadgets, gift items that they can carry as mementos along with them. It will be put up for sale.

The modelling and designing will be carried out by the Karnataka Cauvery Emporium.
