Bangalore: Work on relaying sewage pipes and repairing the caved-in stretch of St Mark’s Road is progressing on a war-footing and is expected to be completed by T uesday morning, according to a top official of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board .
Guruprasad Baily , BWSSB Chief Engineer (Maintenance), said a 50-strong team had been deployed and the work of replacing the damaged portion of the sewage pipeline was in its last stages.
Meanwhile, tension prevailed among officegoers and students in the area as many were unaware of the traffic restrictions there. People were seen enquiring with police about the new routes. VTN
