Look forward to a wet weekend

Look forward to a wet weekend

BANGALORE: The weatherman’s forecast about rains for the next two days is not particularly good news for Bangalore’s road users. Rain water collected on many roads in the City making it difficult for the motorists to navigate through them.

Even roads in front of and around Vidhana Soudha are water logged causing slow movement of traffic. That was the situation on many main roads and traffic had ground to a halt near Coffee Board due to rainwater on roads.

The rains have also damaged many roads and developed craters in front of Kempe Gowda bus terminal. Manholes in Gandhinagar and Seshadripuram were seen overflowing. It was not possible for pedestrians to use the City Market area.

Two trees gave up to rains on Friday morning. A massive tree on Sankey Road near Windsor Manor and another at Jayanagar fell due to heavy rains. The ATMs of many banks also crashed on Friday as a result of rains.
