Govt wipes dust off Science City project

The State Government is contemplating the setting up of the much-delayed Science City in Bangalore either at a 100-acre land belonging to the Karnataka Film Development Corporation (KF-DC) in Hesaraghatta or at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) campus. Speaking to reporters after receiving a copy of the S&T policy prepared by a high-level committee headed by renowned scientist U R Rao in Bangalore, Mr Horatti said the government is talking to both KFDC and UAS to acquire land for the Rs 70 crore project.

It has been nearly four years since the State Government announced its plans to establish a Science City in Bangalore.
