Meanwhile, Public Works Minister H D Revanna announced that the government will soon construct a four-lane road around the City Civil Court premises in Bangalore to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the locality.

He said around 50,000 people visit the court premises every day and the four-lane road will go a long way in decongesting traffic. A total of 2,028 square metres of land belonging to the Bangalore University , Education and revenue departments will have to be acquired for constructing the double road.

While education and revenue departments have agreed to hand over land for construction of the proposed road, the land belonging to BU (inside UVCE campus) is under litigation. Work will start once the acquisition is complete, Mr Revanna said.
