Green Peace, on Sunday evening used a tree on MG Road boulevard as a podium to belt out popular songs.

According to Benson Issac, a member of Green peace, the M G Road in Bangalore is a hub of action on a Sunday evening. “Majority of the urbanites hang around here. This is the best way to spread awareness about saving trees,” said Issac.

A mammoth truck with ‘a Green peace’ banner on it was stationed for more than two hours opposite the MG Road boulevard displacing dozens of two-wheelers parked in that area. Deputy Commissioner of Police M A Salim said permission was given only to stage a programme on M G Road boulevard and not for parking of a truck on M G Road.
