BDA to allot 20,000 sites at Arkavathy on Saturday

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is all set to announce the provisional list of allottees of residential sites at Arkavathy Layout on Saturday.

While the list will be notified at the BDA head office in Kumara Park, aspirants can access four websites for allotment details or through SMS messages and the interactive voice response service (IVRS), the number of which will be announced by Thursday evening.

Chief Minister Dharam Singh will formally release the allotees’ list at his home office ‘‘Krishna’’ on Saturday at 10 a.m. The aspirants can access the websites after 11 a.m.

The provisional list will enable others to identify ineligible but successful applicants who could have furnished false documents and bring them to the BDA’s notice. As of now the BDA has received 2,35,001 applications.

Refunds for unsuccessful candidates are estimated to be about Rs.900 crore. The BDA has in all received Rs. 920 crore. Refund cheques will be despatched one week after the announcement of the allotments.

The allotment pattern will be 8,000 sites of 20 X 30 feet, 6,000 sites of 30 X 40 feet, 3,500 sites measuring 40 X 60 feet and 2,500 sites of 50 X 80 feet.
