After successfully releasing two new non-Kannada films -- Hulchul and Ocean’s Twelve -- defying the three-week moratorium, exhibitors in Bangalore have decided to release another new Hindi movie, Swades, starring Sharukh Khan on December 17. Besides, exhibitors are also planning to release Vejendra Verma (Telugu) in Bangalore on coming Friday. While Hulchul was released in as many as nine theatres, Ocean’s Twelve (English) was released in three theatres under heavy police protection last Friday.

To mark the return of normalcy and the resumption of simultaneous release of films, the Producers’ Guild is planning to bring Swades team, including Sharukh Khan, Ashutosh Gowarikar and A R Rahman, to Bangalore, K V Dhananjay, advocate for the non-Kannada film exhibitors, said.
He said that Sharukh Khan will participate in the promotional activities for Swades.
