Bangalore: Travelling distance may get longer, but the ride will be hassle-free. That’s what the traffic police say, as they gear up for the new one-way regulations on Richmond Road, Residency Road and surrounding areas from Saturday, December 11. These are the areas where a large number of schools and commercial establishments are located.

Here’s how you can get around:

• RESIDENCY ROAD: Vehicles will be allowed from Richmond Circle to Mayo Hall junction (M.G. Road junction) through Cash Pharmacy junction, Ashirvadam Circle and Opera Circle. — Vehicles from Mayo Hall will be allowed on Commissariat Road: take a left turn at Magarath Road junction, towards Hosmat Hospital junction, take a right to D’Souza Circle to join Richmond Road.

• RICHMOND ROAD: From D’Souza Circle, vehicles will ply towards Mother Teresa Circle, Ashok Nagar signal and towards Richmond Circle. — For vehicles in the opposite direction, traffic will be diverted at Richmond Circle to Residency Road.

• RICHMOND CIRCLE FLYOVER:
— Vehicles coming from ramps on K.H. Road (Double Road) and Mission Road will not be allowed to get onto Richmond Road. — Instead, vehicles can take the flyover ramp from Richmond Road to go towards K.H. Road. — Vehicles will be allowed on the flyover from K.H. Road and Mission Road to Residency Road. — Buses will not be allowed on the K.H. Road ramp as it has been made a two-way. Only cars, jeeps and motorcycles will be allowed on the K.H. Road ramp. However, buses will be allowed on the Mission Road ramp, which is one-way. The one-way on Hayes Road and Convent Road will be reversed to form loops.

• HAYES ROAD: Traffic will be allowed to ply from Richmond Road to Residency Road.

• CONVENT ROAD: Traffic will be allowed to ply from Residency Road to Richmond Road.

• MAGARATH ROAD: Vehicles will be allowed to ply only from Shoppers’ Stop junction to Brigade Road junction. — In the opposite direction, vehicles will be diverted at Brigade Road junction towards Residency Road, Mayo Hall junction and onto Commissariat Road to take a right turn.

• WOOD STREET: Vehicles will be allowed from Brigade Road to Mother Teresa Circle. — In the opposite direction, vehicles will take a detour from Richmond Circle, continue towards Ashok Nagar signal, take a right towards Old Shoolay police station and onto Museum Road.

• CAMPBELL ROAD: The one-way will be reversed. Vehicles from Hosur Road will ply through Mother Teresa Road, move in front of Philomena Hospital towards D’Souza Circle. — In the opposite direction, vehicles will be diverted from D’Souza Circle and Mother Teresa Road to Campbell Road, Ashok Nagar signal and onto Hosur Road.

• MUSEUM ROAD: Vehicles will be allowed only from Shoolay junction to Ashirvadam Circle.

BUS STANDS RELOCATED

— Mayo Hall bus stand will be shifted to Commissariat Road.
— St Joseph College bus stand to Richmond Road-Vellara junction.
- Bishop Cotton Boys High School to Richmond Road-Baldwin Girls School. — Buses coming from Trinity Circle will take left turn at Mayo Hall junction, move onto Commissariat Road, Richmond Road and towards Richmond Circle.
— Buses and other vehicles going towards Hoskote-Kolar will be diverted onto Residency Road, Commissariat Road, Hosmat junction, Richmond Road, Trinity Road, Kensington Road. — Vehicles going to Airport Road from Richmond Circle can take a right turn at Residency Road, towards Commissariat Road, take left onto Magrath Road, Hosmat junction, Lower Agaram Road, India Garage, ASC Centre onto Airport Road.
— Vehicles from Hosur Road to Airport Road will be diverted at Johnson Market, take right onto Campbell Road, D’- Souza Circle, Richmond Road, Lower Agaram Road, India Garage, ASC Centre and join Airport Road.
