The Kumbh Mela in Bangalore

Happens every weekend at the Forum Mall. If you want to see hell on earth then visit this place on a weekend. It looks like the whole of Bangalore has descended on this place. Even with the most parking space for any place in town it can't meet half the demand. To add to the problem the mall management has barred entry to two-wheelers from one entrace meaning every two wheeler has to go round the whole place adding to the traffic congestion when roads are clogged all the way from Residency Road to Madiwala and Checkpost to Dairy Circle and Kalyana Mantapa in Koramangala to Raheja Arcade. Our autos do their bit too, unauthorisedly occupying one whole lane in the road on both sides of the mall. And no, I was not visiting the mall, I have better sense than jostle around with lakhs of people seeking consumerist nirvana at Bangalore's Kumbh Mela.
