Flyover fails to solve traffic snarls

The Dairy Circle grade separator has been impeding traffic on Residency Road, Richmond Road, Hosur Road and surrounding areas. These areas witnessed traffic jams on Thursday afternoon. Residents of Bannerghatta Road and surrounding areas have been compelled to use Hosur Road to reach central areas of the city after the flyover came into use. This has increased density of vehicles on Hosur Road. As a result, traffic is moving at snail’s pace on the stretch between Military School, Vellara Junction and Professor Ashirvadam Circle, the police said.
