Chief Ministerial priorities

The construction of the flyover and the underpass at Dairy Circle has been underway for close to 3 years now and caused untold misery to commuters. The underpass is complete since a week but is waiting for HIS HIGHNESS Shri Shri Shri Dharam Singh, the Chief Minister to spare time from his monumentally important and busy schedules to grace an official inauguration and only then be thrown open to traffic. This is what papers reported yesterday.

However the CM managed to find time for this:

It comes as no surprise though. For our politicans public interest has always been at the bottom on their list of priorities.

Thats true. What does the CM get by inaguarating a underpass, nothing but a board saying he inaguarated it. But for other stuff, he gets the moollah.
Look at Bangalore international airport, they have been sitting on it, because the airport consortium has not paid off the CM and his JD(S) friends. They have been postponing the signing of state agreements for ever and we are almost close to the point of no return, ie when the centre's concession agreement expires at the end of december.
There was a article in economic times on 24th november stating that JD(S) wants to move the airport out of devennahalli as there honchos did not get to make the moollah there. Hyderabad airport is almost close to taking off next month eventhough we had many years headstart over them. Same fate is befalling the city's other infrastructure.
