Bangalore: Shopper’s Stop on Thursday opened a second lifestyle store on Bannerghatta Road (BTM Layout). Spread over 57,000 sqft across a single floor, it is more than twice the size of the first store and houses over 300 brands in categories, from apparel and cosmetics to home furnishings and kitchenware.

Shopper’s Stop managing director B.S. Nagesh, who was in Bangalore for the inauguration, said the city will have five stores within the next two years. These will include one each in Malleswaram and Koramangala — both in Mantri malls that are coming up in those areas — and one on Magrath Road, in the mall being set up by Euroamer Garuda Developers. Shopper’s first store in Bangalore, set up in 1995, is also on Magrath Road. Nagesh said the second store on that road will be conceptually different from the first, but declined to provide details.

The store on Bannerghatta Road has been designed by London-based architects JHP Consultants.
