Pothole of the day: Yeshwantpur

Is there no end to this pothole saga?
Times of India

15 days, pictures of over 50 potholes, 7 engineers fined. It all started long ago, when chief minister Dharam Singh lashed out at civic agencies and told them to set things right at least for the rest of the monsoon. BCC commissioner Jothiramalingam then set a deadline and mayor Ramesh set an ultimatum — that whatever pictures were splashed in the media, the area engineer would be fined for the pothole under his ward jurisdiction. One of the biggest threats, as put by BCC officials, is the rain hampering work. Ironical that the very reason for which deadlines were set should hamper work. While many stretches have been done up — like on Race Course Road, the stretch in front of Ammanni College, Hebbal and Malleswaram, there are many more areas that still cry for attention. The worst-hit are the suburban localities.
