Owing to pressure from commuters and visitors to the Mantri Mall on Sampige Road, the traffic police have restricted parking on one side of the road from Rajiv Gandhi Circle to Sampige theatre.
As part of the new arrangement, parking will be allowed only on the east side of the 103-foot stretch for vehicles of the staff of the office of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) joint commissioner. Similarly, parking is allowed only on a part of the stretch between Sampige Road Junction to Sirur Park Road Junction. Parking of four-vehicles has been allowed only on the adjacent South Central Road.
The traffic police also announced that parking will be allowed only on the west side of the Walton Road, off Lavelle Road, and not on the South Side, a press release from the traffic police said.
