BANGALORE: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has been asked to submit and action plan in court for the underground line near Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The high court on Friday asked the metro rail corporation to submit its plans for the area around the cricket stadium after the construction of the underground rail track there.
The court asked the BMRCL to submit the plan on July 12.
While hearing a petition filed by Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), Justice Rammohan Reddy asked the BMRCL to file an action plan for the project.
The court also directed the association to produce the sketch of the renovation of a part of the stadium.
The court also extended the earlier interim order staying construction work of Namma Metro near the stadium till July 12.
The cricket association had challenged the acquisition of 3 , 0 0 0 square metres of land belonging to the KSCA for metro works.
The KSCA contended that in the earlier notification, the KSCA land was not included in the project. That land was later acquired by the BMRCL for the project.
