Citizens’ meet on proposed road widening
Bangalore, July 1, dhns:

Save Bangalore Committee, a non-governmental organisation will hold a Citizens’ Convention on July 4 to voice genuine interests of the public with regard to the Bhruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s road widening move.

Expressing concern over loss of property - number of houses, shops and trees would be brought down - for the proposed widening of 220 roads across the City, the organisation has also sought answers for several questions that it has raised.

The organisation said that judges, artists and eminent writers will participate in the convention.

“Our intention is to address as many issues as possible. We will present a list of demands later,” said a committee member.
