BANGALORE: The BJP’s Bangalore bloom may soon wilt due to its own follies.
City in-charge ministers Katta Subramanya Naidu and R Ashok’s perceived snub to the mayor and the city team on Monday is a selfinflicted salvo.
The duo’s dabbling in the affairs of the city came soon after Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s whirlwind tour of the city.
Now questions are being asked, and not just by the Opposition Congress, about where lies the centre of gravity in the affairs of the city.
Civic expert Ravichander said if team Yeddyurappa wanted to control the affairs of the city, then it should also take responsibility for all the civic mess.
He said otherwise the affairs of the city should be left to the BBMP.
After the Sunday and Monday showers, it is the right time for the BJP to decide for itself where the buck stops.
Late on Tuesday, sources said Minister Ashok had cancelled a meeting he had called to discuss rain-related affairs of the city.
