Variety of events mark start of Bangalore Habba

BANGALORE: The 10-day-long Bangalore Habba began on Friday with a variety of events across various centres.

The highlight of the day’s programme was the show of traditional art and crafts at the Chitrakala Parishath.

As many as 100 stalls have been set up to showcase the tribal arts and culture.

Among the various performance staged included the colourful “Dollu Kunita”.

This programme was held between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. The venue served apt for the inauguration of the festival.

The Chitrakala Parishath was also the venue for “Indian Art Trial” — an exhibition of works of persons who have contributed to the contemporary art movement in India.
