The Minister for Urban Development Suresh Kumar on Saturday announced that flex banners will be removed strictly within one kilometre periphery of Vidhana Soudha initially and would be removed from across the city in phases.

Addressing a gathering at the launch of Zero Garbage campaign in Rama Mandir Ward and Kamakshipalya ward of Rajaji Nagar constituency he said the government is contemplating bringing a special law to ban flex-banners within the city limits, because it is affecting the beauty of the city.

The Minister showed his preparedness for the run-up to the BBMP elections by launching the Zero Garbage campaign in the two wards appealed to the masses for their support in turning the areas a litter-free zone.
