Bangalore: The city police have imposed traffic restrictions in view of the unveiling of Thiruvalluvar’s statue here on Sunday.

The restrictions will be in force between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

No vehicles, except those of VIPs, will be allowed towards RBANMS grounds from RBI Quarters junction, Dickenson Road junction, Halasur Road and Dickenson Road.

Vehicles coming from St. John’s Church Road towards Thiruvalluvar statue will have to take diversion via War Memorial Circle.

Vehicles coming from Kamaraja Road and going towards Sri Circle, St. John’s Church Road will have to go via Thomas Café junction. Entry of vehicles to Gangadhara Chetty Road is prohibited.

Parking of vehicles is not allowed on M.G. Road, Halasur Road, Dickenson Road, Murphy Road and Swimming Pool Road. Buses and other heavy vehicles ferrying people for the function have to be parked at St. Aloysius School ground.

Arrangements for parking of vehicles coming from Tumkur, Mysore, Kanakapura and Hosur Road have been made at BRV Parade Ground; Murphy Town Football stadium for vehicles coming from Kolar and Malur; St. Aloysius School ground for vehicles from KGF; Promenade Road for vehicles coming from Srirampura, Rajajinagar and Magadi Road; Asayye Road for vehicles coming from Halasur, Ramamurthinagar, Banaswadi; Naga Theatre Junction for vehicles from Jalahalli and Yeshwanthpur; War Memorial Circle to Tamil Sangham for vehicles coming from Ashoknagar, Viveknagar, Siddapura and Tilaknagar.
