After a blistering day, the city received some welcome showers on Friday night which brought down the temperature to a good low.


The mercury had surged to 35 degree in the day while the minimum temperature stood at 22 degree. In the night, it poured for nearly two hours. The city received a rainfall of 1.4 mm whereas the Airport received 3.6 mm rain. Due to rain, minimum temperature came down to 19 degree celsius. Sources in the Meteorological Department said it was part of pre-monsoon showers. The Department has predicted rain and thunderstorm activities even on Saturday.
