Airport operations to be affected from Feb 7 to 15

Bengaluru International Airport today announced changes in airport operations and schedule from February 7 to 15 in view of seventh Aero India show.
During the event practice and rehearsals from February 7 to 10, the airport will halt all commercial operations for two hours from 10 am, a BIAL release said here on Thursday.
Similarly during the actual event between February 11 to 15, the airport will refrain commercial operation of aircraft between the Aero show timings beginning from two hours from 10 am, it said. This is in lieu of the airspace requirement of the show to be held at the adjacent Air Force Station, Yelahanka, for the air display.
Scheduled aircraft operations out of the airport will be impacted and the airlines have received communication on reduced operating hours, it said.
Passenger convenience will be ensured with respective airlines sharing timely communication on the change in airport operations and the cancelled/revised flight timings during the length of the 2009 Aero India show. Ancillary support by airport taxi and bus service providers will be aligned to accommodate the increase in anticipated traffic towards on main airport road, NH-7, resulting in increased commute times for passengers flying out of Bengaluru International Airport.
All changes to airport operations have been made available on the website www.bengaluruairport.com for passenger reference, it said.
