Rain spoils weekend for many

Rain spoils weekend for many
Bangalore, dhns:
Blame the two upper air cyclonic systems over the Bay of Bengal and Southern Arabian Sea for diluting the cricket mood at the one day international cricket match between India and England.

According to the Bangalore Meteorology Centre, the rains in Bangalore occurred because of the two upper air ‘systems’. “An upper air disturbance is active at the Bay of Bengal stretched from Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka. The second system is active in the Southern part of the Arabian Sea in the coastal Kerala.
There were spells of rain throughout the day with good intervals. The Bangalore Met Centre recorded 12 mm rains in the city and 10 mm rains at HAL on Sunday. While the rains played a spoilsport for the cricket lovers, it paralysed the normal life. In the evening during the heavy rains, the roads wore a deserted look and once the rains were over, people rushed to their destinations in a haste. Because it was Sunday there was very less vehicular movement on the city roads. People who had planned an outing on Sunday evening, had to drop their ideas and stay back at home.
No untoward incidents occurred due to the rains on Sunday.
