Rain hits life in City

Cricket fans in the city are a worried lot with the forecast of moderate to heavy rain in the next 48 hours.

They are haunted by the fear of washing away of fourth One Day International match between India and England.
Bangalore Meteorological Centre officials said it the region may receive 3 to 5 cms rain.

The rains had disrupted the normal schedule of Bangaloreans on Saturday, causing some traffic snarls and affecting open air functions.

“The City received light showers of 13.4 mm, while the airport (HAL) received 5.5 mm rain, with a minimum temperature of 20 degree celcius on Saturday evening.

The forcast for Sunday is generally cloudy with few spells of rain/thunder showers towards evening and night” officials said. The BBMP control room received no complaints of tree fall or wall collapse.
