Bangalore: German Ambassador to India Bermd Muetzelburg inaugurated Germany’s regional consulate office in the city on Friday. The move is expected to help those from the IT capital seeking a German visa.
The inauguration was held at a star hotel in the presence of Indian and German delegates, including Stefan Graf, Consul General, Germany. Location of the consulate office will be decided soon.
Muetzelburg on an earlier visit, had noted that the trade office here will be converted to a consulate office to enable better access for Indian tourists to get to Germany. Once the office is set up, tourists can secure easy access to visas to Germany. Visas to other European countries may also be handled at the office.
