A tree replanted with care is 100 trees saved

Bangalore: In its continued effort towards environment conservation, the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises has taken up an initiative of replanting trees. NICE has been planting saplings around peripheral and link roads near the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project.
As part of the initiative, 25 trees have been replanted near Link Road toll plaza. Earlier, these trees were on Ring Road near PES College. About 60,000 ornamental plants have been planted near peripheral and link roads. Plants like honge, neem, ficus, hippe, hoovasee, badam, silver oak and mahogany numbering 20,000 have been planted near the project area. Another 7,700 trees are being raised too.
“The NICE is always committed to maintaining the best environment and ecology practices. The company has spent several lakhs of rupees on the replanting mission,” a NICE representative said.
