The State Government, which announced 20 per cent load-shedding on Wednesday, has finalised timings as well as duration of load-shedding for different categories of consumers all over the State.


A detailed notification in this regard will be issued on Friday. It will come into effect from Friday itself, according to well placed sources in the Energy Department. In Bangalore City, there will be four hours load-shedding daily for domestic consumers. All commercial establishments in the City will face load-shedding for four to six hours.

Sources said that in Bangalore, the load- shedding for domestic consumers will not be at one stretch, but staggered. According to sources, power supply companies will be notifying the load- shedding schedule in the next couple of days.

Chhattisgarh team

Meanwhile, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his Chhattisgarsh counterpart Raman Singh, who is undergoing treatment at the Jindal Nature Cure Hospital, will hold discussions at Vidhan Soudha on Saturday on the issue of power supply to Karnataka.

The issue of setting up a thermal power plant in Chh)attisgarh will also come up for discussion in the meeting. The Principal Secretaries to both governments are likely to sign a MoU regarding supply of power to Karnataka.
