HIGH-SPEED RAIL LINK TO BIA
Alignment finalized
The preparedness phase of the highspeed 33.41-km rail link to BIA has entered the next level, with the Karnataka
State Industrial Investment and Development Corporation (KSIIDC) set to invite the expression of interest (EOI) from prospective bidders. The Rs 3,716-crore project will be implemented on a BOT basis.
The alignment of the link is being finalized, in consultation with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). The concession agreement is expected to be signed by March next year and the project completed in over three years.
