CM to tour City today

CM to tour City today

The BJP, unlike when it was acting second fiddle to the JD(S), now has no hesitation to discuss Bangalore City development. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa himself will tour the rain affected areas in the Capital on Tuesday.

He is expected to visit Puttenahalli, Mysore Road and Byatarayanapura to study the extent of rain damage to the properties. He will be accompanied by City ministers R Ashok and Suresh Kumar. The trio, along with officials, will leave Krishna, the home office of the CM at 9 am. After visit, the CM will hold a meeting with the City MLAs to elicit views on the measures to be taken to improve infrastructure facilities.

Sources said that the chief minister office has invited the City MLAs of all parties for the tour and meeting. Four Volvo buses will take the team on the tour.

Many of the Congress MLAs, when contacted, said they will join the CM in his City tour programme. “We do not want to mix politics with development. It is good the CM is holding a meeting. I will attend it,” Gandhinagar MLA Dinesh Gundurao said.

JD(S) MLA from Chamarajpet Zameer Ahmed Khan was not available for comments.
