PILOTS THRILLED

PILOTS THRILLED
Pilots who took off and landed at the BIA gave a thumbs-up to the facilities at the new airport.

Two pilots, who were among the lucky ones to operate flights at the new airport, said that the experience was second to none.

Capt Eshwar Pal, pilot of Air India IC 957 to Singapore, termed the facilities at the airport as “world-class”. “It is an honour to take off from this world-class airport. Everything here is of international standard. With 100 parking bays at the BIA, there won’t be any wastage of time,” he said.

Drawing comparison to the Hyderabad International Airport, he said the BIA is as good as any greenfield airport.
Expressing similar views, Capt Masud of Air Deccan said a lot of fuel will be saved at the BIA unlike other airports which is a positive sign and good for the overall economy of the country.

“The navigation systems and landing systems are world-class. There is a lot of difference from the HAL Airport as we save a lot of time here,” he said.
