BANGALORE: It is time to bring out warm clothes and shelf the summer wear for a while, as the present rainfall which the City is experiencing will continue for another couple of days due to the 'upper air trough'.
The low pressure valves across north interior Karnataka have brought rainfall to south interior Karnataka due to the presence of moisture in the low pressure belt. This low pressure belt runs across interior Karnataka and brings rainfall to south interior Karnataka due to the prevailing humidity.
Speaking to this website's newspaper, Bangalore Meteorology Department Director-in-charge, A Muthuchami, said that this low pressure was a seasonal pattern in summers.
"It is a large-scale phenomena where the entire south interior Karnataka receives rainfall and the temperature dips below normal in summer. This rain pattern is likely to continue for the next 48 hours."
It has also been forecast that the rainfall is likely to go up to 10 cms. In certain places, rain or thunder showers are likely to occur. On Friday, the City recorded a maximum temperature of 27.7 degree Celsius and minimum of 20.9 degree C with 1.8 mm rainfall.
