BANGALORE: The State Government approved BDA's proposal of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout spanning 4814.15 acres spread across eight villages in Kengeri hobli and four in Yeshwantpur hobli.
A GO issued on April 2, 2008, has ordered the BDA to issue preliminary notification under the BDA Act 1976.
The order has made provisions to acquire the land, excluding those acquired by KIADB and other planning authorities, spread over Kommaghatta, Ramasandra, Challaghatta, Krishnasagara, Bheemanakuppe, Ramasagara, Sulikere and Kenchanapura in Kengeri Hobli and Sheegehalli, Kannahalli, Kodigehalli and Manganahalli in Yeshwantpur hobli at a cost of Rs 2,639 crore.
The order also provides provisions to reserve 45 per cent of acquired land for civic amenities and to share the remaining 55 per cent of the developed land between land owners and the BDA, in the ratio of 40:60 respectively.
Accordingly a land owner will get an area of 9,583 sqft developed land for every one acre. If needed land owners can also opt for land and compensation in parts.
As per the order, BDA has to reserve 20 per cent of the sites to allot economically weaker sections and SC/STs. BDA should take suitable measures to construct group houses for economically weaker sections.
BDA must also set aside land required for public utility agencies like BWSSB, BBMP, BESCOM, KPTCL and BMTC, said an official release. While developing the layouts, BDA is ordered to incorporate dual pipeline systems to facilitate BWSSB drinking and recycled water in separate pipelines.
BDA was also advised to review and extend the provisions of the current rehabilitation schemes and to submit details to the Cabinet and executive committees.
