Rain causes water logging, traffic jams

BANGALORE: Heavy rain in parts of the city on late Wednesday night led to water logging, a tree fall and traffic jams.

A major tree fall was reported from Yelahanka New Town. Nobody was injured in the incident.

There was water logging reported near the Yelahanka railway station, according to the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.

The BBMP also said rain caused traffic jams near Hennur cross road. Rain and thundershowers continued past midnight.

While the airport recorded 14.3 mm of rain, Yelahanka received 8 mm and the city 0.1 mm of rain, according to the BBMP.
