Bangalore: The vacant grounds of NGEF in Byappanahalli will be developed into a transport hub. Buses and trains will ply from there to various points in the city and outside.
“NGEF has 220 acres of land. Forty acres will be made available for the proposed hub,’’ governor Rameshwar Thakur said on Friday.
“NGEF shifted its motor and transformer unit to the outskirts of the city and this land was made available for other purposes,”he said.
“The hub will function like the ones in Yeshwanthpur and Azad Nagar on Mysore Road,’’ said the governor’s adviser, S Krishna Kumar.
