HC stays land acquisition for Metro
Bangalore, DHNS:

The High Court has, on Wednesday, issued an interim stay on the notification issued by Karnataka Industrial Area Development (KIADB) to acquire 208.76 sq meters of land (survey no 67) on CMH road in Indiranagar meant for the Metro rail project.

Justice N Kumar, who issued the interim stay, ordered KIADB that the petitioners’ land should not be acquired for the next four weeks and they should not be forced out of their commercial shops. V Prema and other petitioners had contended that KIADB had not issued any notice regarding acquisition to them.
