BANGALORE: Fire broke out in Cubbon Park on Wednesday evening, destroying two clumps of bamboo trees.

The reason for the fire is not yet known. Police said that people who were inside the park for their evening walks noticed the fire at 5.30 pm and panicked. Nobody was injured.

By the time fire engines reached the spot, the fire had spread across one stretch and had destroyed two bamboo trees. Four fire engines were required to douse the flames.
