To facilitate smooth flow of the underpass construction coming up near M C Circle (Magadi Main Road and West of Chord Road) the Vijayanagar traffic police have made certain traffic diversions and restrictions in and around the area from Wednesday.

Traffic deviations

* Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur and Majestic area from Vijayanagar have to take a left turn near Gayathri hospital on Magadi Chord Road and have to continue via MC Layout 8th Cross and take a right turn near the Jaimuni Rao Circle on the Magadi Main Road.

* Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur have to take left turn opposite to the Saraswati Convention Hall on the II and III Main Road of the Rajajinagar Industrial Area and move further in front of Rajajinagar Fire Station, on IV Cross and have to move on the West of Chord Road. Vehicles going towards Majestic area have to continue on the Magadi Main Road via the MC Circle and have to move via Prasanna theatre towards Majestic area.

* Vehicles going towards Yeshwanthpur from Kamakshipalya have to take a left turn near the KHB junction.

* Vehicles going towards Vijayanagar from Yeshwanthpur have to go via the West of Chord Road and take a left turn at the 72nd Cross Road in Rajajinagar VI Block, then take a right turn on the 12th Main Road and move on the Dr Rajkumar Road in front of the Basava Mantap junction. Vehicles have to move towards MC Circle via the Prasanna theatre and take a left turn near Veeresh theatre on Magadi Main Road and move in front of the P&T office and take a right turn near the P&T junction and can go towards Vijayanagar from the Magadi Chord Road.

* Vehicles going towards Vijayanagar from Majestic have to go via the MC Circle and take a left turn near the Veeresh theatre on Magadi Main Road and move in front of the P&T office and have to take a right turn near the P&T junction and can go towards Vijayanagar from the Magadi Chord Road.

* BMTC buses going towards Ram Mandir from Prasanna theatre have to take a right turn near Basava Mantap junction on Dr Rajkumar Road and have to take a left turn near the Dinathanti press and go towards Ram Mandir.

Traffic restrictions

* Movement of vehicles from North to South direction on the Rajajinagar Industrial Town II and III Main Road towards Magadi Main Road is banned and movement of vehicles from the opposite direction is allowed.

* Movement of vehicles from the Vijayanagar P&T junction towards the Magadi Main Road (South to North direction) is prohibited, while the movement of vehicles in the opposite direction is allowed.

* Movement of vehicles on the Rajajinagar 12th Main Road from the Basava Mantap junction towards Bashyam Circle (South to North direction) is prohibited, while the movement of the vehicles in the opposite direction is allowed.

Parking prohibited

Parking will not be allowed at M C Layout 8 th cross, P&T Road, and 2 and 3rd main road of Rajajinagar industrial area. The order was issued by the City Police Commissioner on Wednesday, said a release from his office.
