The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced ‘Mall Special’ and ‘Hospital Special’ bus services connecting City centre to prominent hospitals and shopping malls.


The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has introduced ‘Mall Special’ and ‘Hospital Special’ bus services connecting City centre to prominent hospitals and shopping malls.

The Mall service will operate eight trips daily, where a high comfort vehicle, Pushpak Plus will ply between Shivajinagar and the shopping areas in Commercial Street, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Brigade Road, Bangalore Central, Garuda Mall, Lifestyle, Koramangala Forum, Big Bazaar, Shantinagar Big Bazaar and Residency Road. The Hospital services will operate sick-friendly mini buses from Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS) to Wockhardt Al-Ameen, Jain Hospital, Bowring, Ghousia, Manipal, Vydehi and Satya Sai Hospital.

A second bus will ply from Kempegowda bus station to St Martha’s, Mallya, Nimhans, Kidwai, St John and Narayana Hrudayalaya. The third bus will ply from Kempegowda Bus station to Minto Hospital, Vanivilas, Victoria, KIMS, Bangalore Hospital, Nature Care, Sagar Apollo and Jayadeva Cardiology hospital.


Mahila Special

At least 12 trips have been introduced under the Mahila special service, which caters to women and children below 12 years. The buses ply between major localities and the City centre between 7.30 am and 7 pm.

Route No. HS-1/1 KBS to Satya Sai -- from KBS : 8 am, 11.20 am, 3.05 pm; from Satya Sai Hospital: 9.40 am, 1.25 pm, 3.10 pm, Route no. HS-2/1 KBS to Narayana Hridayalaya -- from KBS : 8 am, 10.50 am, 2.05 pm, 4.55 pm.

From Narayana Hridayalaya: 9.25 am, 12.40 pm, 3.30 pm, 6.20 pm. Route no. HS-3/1 KBS to Jayadeva --from KBS : 8 am, 9.35 am, 11.10 am, 1.10 pm, 2.10 pm, 4.50 pm; from Jayadeva: 8.45 am, 10.25 am, 12.25 pm, 1.55 pm, 4.05 pm, 5.35 pm.
