BANGALORE: The police have banned the movement of vehicles on HMT Main Road in Yeshwanthpur traffic police station limits in view of the construction of a rail-over-bridge near the Gokula railway gate.

According to a press release from the Commissioner of Police Neelam Achuta Rao, vehicles will not be allowed to move on HMT Main Road from BEL Ring Road junction to Mathikere bus terminus and vice versa.

The police have thus diverted the traffic. BMTC buses bound for Gokula/Mathikere junctions from Vidyaranyapura will have to turn left at the road, some 100 ft before the BEL signal, then turn right at Rashtrakavi Kuvempu Circle and proceed towards New BEL Road.

Light motor vehicles and two-wheelers have to turn right at M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hall on HMT Main Road and again turn right at Nowkis School, turn left at Muniswamappa Layout Main Road (1st Cross Road), turn left at the Muthyalnagar railway gate and proceed towards J.P. Park and Mohan Kumar Nagar Road. Vehicles bound for BEL and Vidyaranyapura from Yeshwanthapur side have to turn left at Mathikere bus terminus and join the Ring Road.
