BANGALORE: Buoyed by good response to its Bangalore-London service, the British Airways (BA) will launch a daily flight from the City from October 30. With that flight frequency will increase from six to seven per week.

”The tremendous response from discerning passengers of Bangalore had encouraged BA to further augment its capacity from the IT hub of India,” BA Area Commercial Manager for South Asia Amanda Amos said in a release.

”On May 4 this year, we had implemented the frequency enhancement plan in Bangalore and increased the number of flights from five to six per week. It had further been enhanced to seven flights a week,” Amos said.

BA had commenced operations from Bangalore in October last. “We are committed to serve our Indian customers better and have come up with various innovative solutions to give them total controls over their travel plans like manage my booking, online boarding passes and online check in,” Amos said.

The new flight, BA 18, would depart from Bangalore at 0645 hrs (local time) and arrive at London Heathrow Airport at 1230 hrs (local time). The return flight from London would depart at 1330 hrs and reach Bangalore at 0445 hrs the following day, the release added.

Currently operating 42 schedules a week out of India, BA had also been enhancing its service offerings, the release added.
