The opposition BJP in the BMP sought priority for projects that have been repeatedly mentioned in the BMP budgets over the last five years, but not implemented

yet.

This comes in the run-up to the BMP council’s term-end election. While welcoming the changes to the original budget proposals (2006-07) of the BMP effected by

the state government, the BJP has noted that the ruling Congress had over the years resorted to sound bytes by merely repeating a host of projects, without

actually implementing them.

Examples

It has listed out the following as a few examples — grade separators at the Minerva Circle and Southend Circle, renovation and restoration of Puttanna Kanagal

Chitramandira, the arch gate at the Dharmarayaswamy temple and the Kempegowda Gopura at the Hudson Circle.
