Boarding and alighting buses at Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS) will soon be a cakewalk as Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will have electronic display boards (EDBs) to guide passengers to the right platform.

Modelled on the EDBs at railway stations, the BMTC has embarked on a project to install EDBs at all platforms in KBS for commuters convenience. "The boards will display the bus numbers, timings and route destinations. At present, a few boards have been installed on a trial basis. We plan to extend the facility to all platforns," said Dastagir Sherieff, chief traffic manager (Operations), BMTC.

The display boards are already installed at the Shivajinagar Bus Station and Volvo bus platforms.
