TO enable free flow of storm water, the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP), with the help of the rapid action force on Tuesday, demolished four unauthorised constructions that had been built on Koramangala storm water drain (SWD).

Following orders from BMP commissioner K Jairaj, t officials of BMP demolished an RCC building and th buildings with asbestos sheets built on the SWD ne Sarjapur Road in Jakkasandra, an official release said.

With this, the width of the SWD has increased. This would enable the smooth flow of water.

The drive to demolish unauthorised constructions would continue in all the four SWDs (Koramangala, Challaghatta, Vrishabhavathi and Hebbal), the release added.

The team was led by BMP superintendent engineer S Mrutyunjay.
