Chief Minister H D Kumaaraswamy on Monday denied the allegation made by the Congress leader H K Patil that the government has allotted large extent of land to real estate developers under the garb of IT industries.

The Chief Minister said that the proposals submitted by several companies seeking land for establishing IT companies around Bangalore city are before the High Power committee.

“We have not given land to any one as alleged by Mr Patil,” claimed the Chief Minister while addressing the members of the Peenya Industries Association (PIA) during the valedictory of its silver jubilee celebrations.

He said Bangalore lost Fab City project to Hyderabad as the previous Government could not offer land around Bangalore city.

He denied the allegation that Bangalore lost the project due to lack of infrastructure in the city.

Coming down heavily on those who have alleged that his father H D Deve Gowda was against the development of Bangalore city, Mr Kumaaraswamy said that government records speak about his father’s service to the city.
