BANGALORE: The city experienced heavy rain lasting nearly an hour on Friday.

This was followed by a steady drizzle till late in the night. According to the Met office, the city recorded 5.2 mm rain and at the airport it was 3.6 mm.

Thanks to the work on desilting of storm drains that has been taken up not many roads were flooded.

However, there was traffic congestion on many roads, causing inconvenience to people.
