The State Government has sanctioned six new traffic police stations in City and the recruitment of 992 police personnel, DCP Traffic (East) M A Salim said.

Three police stations at Banaswadi, Mico Layout and Wilson Garden will start functioning during the current financial year. The other three at Yelahanka, Kumaraswamy Layout and Kalasipalya will be flagged off next year, Mr Salim said. Six police inspectors, 82 sub-inspectors, 214 assistant sub inspectors, 390 head constables and 300 constables will be recruited, he added
