A “Clean Bangalore, Green Bangalore” campaign has been launched on February 25 jointly by Project Agastya, an NGO involved in Urban issues and Rotary clubs of Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Bangalore South, Bangalore South West and Cubbon Park.

The objective of the intensive three-month door-to-door campaign in South Bangalore is to propagate the importance of civic involvement in making Bangalore a better place to live in. The campaign focuses on urban issues like pollution, rain water harvesting, waste management, energy conservation and sanitation.

Several key organisations such as Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, Bescom, Central Ground Water Board, Central Water Commission, NGOs and residents associations will participate in this campaign.
