Bangalore: Less than two weeks in the hot seat and Chief Minister H D K umaraswamy is already feeling the heat of corporate bigwigs complaining about Bangalore’s crumbling infrastructure and the gro wing threats of flight of investment to other states.

Kumaraswamy announced on Saturday that he would be calling a meeting of representatives of industries on F eb 15 or 16 to discuss infrastructure problems in the City .

H e took serious note of the NRI group SemIndia preferring to set up F ab City project in AP rather than Karnataka and Siemens India threatening not to expand further in Bangalore.

"I will assure the leaders of the industry that within three months our go vernment will not only impro ve roads to the satisfaction of all, but will also initiate steps to ease traffic congestions," he told reporters.

Appealing to industrialists to cooperate with the new go vernment, he said: "W e are only nine days old. W e will clear all doubts regarding infrastructure to investors and turn the City investor-friendly soon." H e said, he had directed officials to expedite all the infrastructure projects and complete them within two months.

He pointed out that Union Communication Minister Dayanidhi Maran, had earlier promised to pro vide Rs 500 from the Centre for infrastructure development in City . But nothing had happened.

Dharam offers Fab help

Bangalore: Former Chief Minister Dharam Singh said on Saturday that he was ready to help in convincing the Centre and the F ab City promoter to review the decision on setting up the project in Hyderabad. But he would do this only if he was requested by the government.

Singh, who participated in a function at th office, told reporters later that it was he who had managed to bring the ONGC project to Karnataka after then Union Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar A had all but shifted it to T amil Nadu.
